The Story of Trigun

So what exactly is Trigun all about? Why is this anime called Trigun? Well I don't want to spoil too many surprises, but I will give just a basic summary of what Trigun is all about. When Trigun first opens two insurance workers Meryl and Milly are given an assignment to find the infamous 60 billion double dollar man Vash the Stampede and keep him from causing any more damage (considering Vash has been blamed for destroying a countless number of cities). When the girls first meet up with the so called Vash all hell breaks loose when the person they find is not Vash but has indeed caught our unlikely hero already. Now personally I don't blame Meryl for not beliving that the blonde haired, doughnut stuffing, not so swift, over animated captiee is not Vash the Stampede. After Vash (the real one) saves the girls and er swiftly takes care of the Vash imposters (well they were sort of imposters) Meryl still refuses to believe this "crazy man" is Vash the Stampede. After their first meeting alot of mix ups and misundestandings follow while all along Vash just so happpens to be under their very noses. Once Meryl finally admits that Vash is indeed Vash, the "insurance girls" and Vash have a pretty interesting journey together, especially after they meet up with a not so priestly cathiloc priest named Woolfwood (sigh, Woolfwood), but soon Vash's so called 'er' "normal life" as a wanted criminal (which is normal for Vash) is soon shattered when Vash's horrible past finally catches up with him. With bounty hunters, revenge drivened killers, Gun ho guns, and yes the occasional insurance investigator or two close on his tail, Vash must summon up all his wits, skills, and comic raves in order survive to live to munch another doughnut. Trigun has got to be one of my favirote animes (no wait it is my favirote anime) mainly because it's crammed full of action, jammed packed with comedy, and spiced with just a touch of drama (ahhh the perfect doughnut). I feel Trigun is the perfect anime for any anime fan or people who don't watch anime at all. There's never a dull moment and I pesonally could barely if not at all second guess this show! I would definently suggest that any of you who haven't watched this anime before give it a try. You won't be sorry.
